You Walk Through The Fire…

We are made new in Jesus Christ does that mean we walk away from who we are? Yes.

When we are born again and made into a new creature we have been changed; we have been made new again. We should act like it. We should be as little children and be completely dependent upon our Father, God Almighty through Jesus Christ who gave us the Holy Spirit.

Does it hurt when we sin in our new life? Yes, very deeply. The more we sin in our new creation the more deeply it hurts. It is getting to the point that pain is taking over all that is felt. It is getting to the point that pain is driving the bus, not love, not joy, not rejoicing in the Lord, but pain, deep seeded relentless pain. This is not suppose to be happening, but it is.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you. ~ Isiah 43:2 NASB95

The fire is scorching and the flames are growing hotter with each step. Reaching out, praying and crying out to the Lord provides some relief, but the past seven years of utter failure are weighing heavy. Seven years of theft, seven years watching revenue being drained on a daily basis. Seven years of corporations taking everything as all the work, and all the expense, is on the desk of one.

The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. ~ Henry David Thoreau

The quiet of sleep is calling. The quiet of an empty house engulfs all.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
